An inspection company led by a working inspector

Iridium Industrial is the technical and inspection arm of The Iridium Group. Our CEO still takes on audit and inspection roles himself, and trains the technicians who come up behind him.

Our mission

Safe, on time and on target

We use two decades of field experience to get your project finished on time and on target, without cutting corners on safety.

Every job gets the same care, from a short-notice audit built around your project to the way we check a single line item on a turnover package.

We also mentor our junior technicians, so the standard Ed holds himself to is the standard they bring to your site.

Our standard

Acta Non Verba.

Deeds, not words. We stand behind every inspection, audit and course we deliver. If a job falls outside what our certifications cover, we’ll say so before you book.

  • Customer focused

Your specification and your schedule set the agenda. Our reports say plainly what passed, what failed and what to fix.

  • Safety conscious

An excellent safety record from two decades around live plants and radiation sources. All X-ray work runs under our in-house Radiation Safety Officer.

  • Quality assured

Quality before quantity. No shortcuts on the job or off it, right down to the turnover paperwork.

  • Two decades in the field

Pipelines, hydro, pulp mills, marine, nuclear and defence work. Few problems on site are new to us.

Leadership

Ed Hubbell, in his own words

“I fill critical auditing and inspection roles, and provide mentorship to junior technicians. A strong track record in reliability, safety and leadership is foundational to my continued success, and those are the traits I aim to reflect inward to our staff and outward to our clients and the industry at large.

I also serve as the company Radiation Safety Officer and XRF instructor. Those roles draw on my background in radiation safety and keep me current in those areas of proficiency.

Over the past two decades I have watched radiation safety evolve in industry, and radiation protection evolve in emergency response. I have supported civilians, professionals and agencies while growing my knowledge of the field, and I am pleased to offer that experience to students and clients alike.

In our Special Projects Division we work with law enforcement, security and other defence sector agencies. There I can bridge the gap between the two worlds and produce meaningful, relevant data for our clients and partners.

I look forward to building and reinforcing solid partnerships, and to providing high-integrity results to clients from every sector.”
